The JACK-JACK is a large, bulky, fierce creature found in the UnderEarth. It is about the size of a large dog and is fearless when riled, even attacking prey that is larger than it. Looking like an overgrown rodent, jack-jack’s fur is long and white/gray in alternating splotches. It has hunched shoulders and a forward-thrusting pig-like head. Razor-sharp teeth line its mouth. Jack-jacks also have an extra fifth limb, about 4 feet long, that grows from the middle of its back. This limb can be turned forward or rearward. They are often domesticated and used as beasts of burden by many of the smaller denizens of the UnderEarth.

They range in size from medium to large, with the smaller acting as guard and herding creatures, and the larger ones as transport and draft creatures.

COMBAT

The jack-jack attacks using its bite and claws. One of its favorite tactics is to grasp a limb with three of its claws and grapple its prey, raking with its hind legs.

SPECIAL QUALITIES

Sound Imitation (Ex): The jack-jack can mimic any animal or beast sound it has heard. It does this whenever it likes. Listeners can detect the ruse with a successful Will save (DC 15).

Improved Grab (Ex): If a jack-jack hits a Medium or smaller creature with a claw attack, it deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. No initial touch attack is required. A grappling jack-jack can attempt to rake its opponent.

Rake (Ex): A jack-jack that attacks and grapples an opponent can make two additional claw attacks for 1d6+3 points of damage each.
