Mystryl, the Mother of all Magic, is the neutral good greater deity who guides the magic that envelopes Alyth. She tends to the Weave constantly, making possible all the miracles and mysteries wrought by magic and users of magic. She is believed to be the embodiment of the Weave and of magic itself. Mystryl's symbol is a simple seven-pointed star. Her divine realm resides in Dweomerheart.
Mystryl was born during the battle between H'el and S'elvn in the dawn of time. Being the goddess of magic, spells, creativity, invention, and knowledge, she was said to have taught the first spellcaster of the Realms. All spells of all types were known to her when their creators constructed them, and her spirit was said to imbue all inventors, authors, songwriters, and artists. She was most venerated by wizards and those who used magic or magical items. She provided and tended the Weave, the conduit that enabled mortals to safely access the raw magic force.
Mystryl's greatest enemies are H'el, who created the Shadow Weave to oppose Mystryl's Weave, and Cyryc, who was once a mortal. Other allies of hers include S'elvn, whom she knew as a man when she was a mortal.

Other Notes
Mystryl is the goddess of spells themselves, the magical energy that makes all spell casting possible. Mystryln advisors are common in Mages guilds, and vice versa.
Collectively, the priests of Mystryl are known as Servants of Mystery. Higher level priests, both those with title and lands and those legendary adventuring priests, are called Lords (and Ladies) of Mystery.
The hierarchy of the Mystryln faith is wide and varied, separating into orders concentrating on one form of magical energy or another. Mages, clerics, specialty priests, and bards can all be found in its ranks without regard to experience level or origin. The general rule of the Mystryln faith is that talent and ability for the job outweighs social rank or legendary feats.
Relations between the various orders and subgroups of the faith are very good.
The ceremonial gear of the priests of Mystryl are simple blue robes accented by a cloak of deep blue in the colder climates. Some form of headgear is required, though this may range from a simple blue skullcap for the scholarly orders of the north to wide, ornate, blue hats and helms in the southern lands.
In the field, all priests of Mystryl wear armor, and bear the symbol of Mystryl on their shields as a display of their faith.
The clerics of Mystryl wear veils and masks to draw attention to the mysterious nature of magic.
